finally freestyle drill course is over... the 5days... over... in such a short time.... kk done posting...

Stay Vigilant, Be Resilient

Today the 7th of December 2007... the last day of freestyle drill course for the pioneers... since this is the first time in Singapore that we are doing unarmed exhibition drills... Instructors from US Air Force are nice and patient at teaching us... believed we didnt got scolded at all...quite sad that tmr is actually the last time we are seeing the instructors and the clts in charge.. they were all nice... and sweet... we all had our element of fun and serious time.. lets put on our "war faces" tmr... and put up a good performance for everyone tmr! ^-^

Stay Vigilant, Be Resilient

Alright guys, this is your Sgt Francis Speaking.

While some of the part B's were having their Freestyle course, Part C's has 2 camps:

OBS and Camp Pinnacle.
For me, I went to the OBS Camp, since I'm not the USM or RSM in NCC.
But hey, it was worth it guys, I mean usually you go to camps with your school mates right?
this was different, we had to mix up with other school, other districts and other Uniform Groups. To make it worse, I was the only one from Bukit Merah, but mehh wth, You guys should know me by now, that I mix with people very seldom but hey, guess what, me and the guys and girls there became best friends during the first day it selves. There's a throughout learning journey in OBS, from getting to know yourselves better, to knowing other's feeling and personality better.

It was tough, It tested lot of endurance, perseverance, patients, initiative, leadership and responsibility.

Let me share with you some of the things that happened during the 5 days of the course, but of course, not to be a spoiler, I wont write all the stuffs in.

Day one,
Like I said, all were new faces to me, no one knows each other, so we started of with some Introduction and Ice breaking activities. We get to see our stuffs in the store room that we are going to use throughout the course, our tent pitching area.

Then we started off with the briefing of some basic practices, for the phases of the camp, like I said once more, I'm not going to say to spoil it.

Day Two

We did the first phase of our Land Expedition wich was *Ehem* some people were afraid to do it but hey, the team was really supportive, and in the end we was able to complete the task, even though not in time, it shows how great we are as a team.

We did this phase to earn some tokens for our equipment for the Sea Expedition.
Also learnt how to kayak, so glad didn't capsize at all.

Day Three

Did the Sea Expedition from the morning, all the way to evening.
Dammit, did it like for non stop, and only had our lunch on a little island for like 5 minutes then continued the Sea Expedition...

My aching arm... my aching back.

but hey, It was worth it.
We reached camp one with aching backs and arms, but the reward was good.
Good food, good lodging, but some pretty strict rules.

Day Four

We had 4 rounds of 5bx in the morning.
Then had some games in the afternoon.
But the worst one was Land Expedition,
We had to *ehem* and *ehem* and even more *ehem* while carrying a *ehem**ehem**ehem* for *ehem*.

But the purpose was solely our teamwork and suportiveness, we had to encourage each other, make some noises to keep our attention away from what we were doing.

Day Five

Soon to be updated

Cheers guys
Good Luck,
Bum Drugs. Cheers!

Stay Vigilant, Be Resilient

Day 4 ended with a sweet and cool training today... not much rest/slacking time was given... but thats ok... cause too much free time => get tired easier... no time to perfect moves... anyway today only did half a day of routines... the other half of the day.... color guards... i was the left guard.. the one holding Colt AR 15 rifle number => NCC 279...now for the serial number => 407608 ... this is not the best part yet... it was attached with a bayonet w00ts... my first time putting on a bayonet to the rifle and using it... not using to attk ppl of course... marching... ok end here..

Stay Vigilant, Be Resilient

freestyle day 3 is over... once agn... another day has pass... today wasnt such a torturous day... rainning... so have to do everything in the MPH... all 3 big platoons... squash into MPH.. learn new "commands" today... "to the winds....March!" another nice formation... ok shall end this post for this blog...
